There have been a lot of rumors spreading on the future of Zao, here is the latest.
This fall, Zao and various other bands were in talks with a young record label. The label ended up with a string up problems and the financial backers pulled out leaving the band's contract obligations up in the air. Zao has had to make some big decisions about their future. The biggest of which is that Daniel Weyandt will be leaving his position as frontman. The Liberate lineup (Rob, Russ, Scott and Jesse) have found a replacement which will now been announced.
At the same time, former labelmates Society's Finest were in talks with the above label after leaving Texas label Pluto Records. After the fallout they were faced with the decision to continue with their current state or call it quits. After much thought and prayer the band has decided to end their six year run. Guitarists Nick Nowell and Eli Bowser will continue in their own project and lead vocalist Joshua Ashworth will replace Daniel Weyandt in Zao.
As stated in the update, Zao will join E-Town Concrete and God Forbid on these dates.

As much as my musical tastes have changed since I first discovered this band, I am still relatively excited about
the sophmore effort from These5Down. The review promises an "instant nu-metal classic". Let's hope that by "classic" they mean "actually good". Fight the Power. Stay loyal to bands you discovered at Cornerstone.
