Rumours are heading this way that a price drop is on it's way for ALL next-gen consoles...

The online retailer Gamestop has released a new price list showing reduced prices for Xbox, PS2 and most importantly, GameCube. The new prices are set to take place in May, after E3 and should be welcome news to those praying in a price drop for their dream console.
The new prices are as follows:

GameCube USD 99.99 (approx. euro 91)
Xbox USD 149.99 (approx. euro 136)
PlayStation2 USD 149.99 (approx. euro 136)

Although, this is still unconfirmed and it's uncertain whether, if true, the price drop will spread to other retailers, and to Europe.

I have officially found the greatest band to ever live. Now some of you may be confused by my use of the word "greatest". In this rare case, greatest means worst. The Shaggs recorded their debut album "Philosophy of the World" in 1968. Three sisters with little to no musical talent entered the studio with nothing but their instruments and a Father with fame in his eyes. Songs were recorded, eardrums were shattered, but in the end there stood a recording of such purely horrible musical quality that the world began to take notice. 35 years later I discovered them. This gem of a CD thumbs a nose at traditional musical conventions, such as melody and structure. The music glares at subtly abusive adjectives and laughs the laugh of a man that knows he smells horrible, but knows people are too afraid to tell him. Songs like "My Pal Foot Foot" and "Who Are Parents" stand out among the fold as the only two songs that don't sound like drunken impromtu. I am proud to have had the pleasure of enjoying these classics. Sometimes we must pay the price for our lust for originality. The price of listening to The Shaggs: laughing your head off while hitting repeat. Fight the Power. Stay Informed.

Decapolis.com has a review of the new Radial Angel CD "One More Last Time". I heard about this CD a little while ago, but had and still have no desire to hear it. I was shocked by the harshness of this review. Here is the link and excerpt:

"For about 1800 years, art produced by Christians was some of the most pioneering and original in Western Civilization. When did we go from the brilliance of Handel to the derivation of Radial Angel? When did we lose it? When did we start to suck? If anything, this album should act as a warning to musicians who are Christians to not fall for the idea that saying “Jesus” in a song makes up for writing a terrible song. “Christian” music should be about excellence, and this album is not."

Can you imagine making a CD and that CD being compared to the downfall of 1800 years of artistic excellence? HARSH... and I say it again, because it bears repeating... HARSH. Fight the Power. Stay Informed.

Sometimes my Networking III professor turns on his ICS connection and doesn't tell us. What that means for me is... I don't know that I have the Internet. Today was one of those days. He was just rattling on, "MPPE: Microsoft's Point-To-Point Encryption uses several different encryption levels but you must obtain and install a service pack in order to implement the 128-bit level... 56-bit DES... IPSec... hotfix... in tandem... more bandwidth... I'm boring..." and I'm gone. Suddenly I awake to the sound of someone trying to rouse me from my slumber. "Hey. Hey! Did you know that we have Internet?" That sneaky rat. I think it's a more of a thrill for him if he knows that he turned it on, but we don't know about it. So that's where I am right now... In class, taking advantageof my Internet epiphany. I can't wait till I graduate from this rotting, festering, diarhea burn of a school. Ohh by the way, I'm supposed to ask if anyone I know is interested in talking to someone about joining the Networking department at Vincennes University. Grrrr... I hate the VU (voooo). I never want to see this campus again... Fight the Power. Stay Informed.

Applications are no longer being accepted for the aforementioned position due to the large quantity of women that have applied since I posted that earlier today. I received phone calls from Verizon, Hotmail, and the US Postal Service asking me to please suspend operations because the amount of feedback was blocking service usage to each respective company's customers. Ladies, Ladies, Ladies... theres plenty of the J-Man to go around. I think we can work out some sort of time-share clause. No need to fuss.

Just surfing around and stumbled across this gem. According to this, it sounds like I'm holding a killer hand...

TAURUS AND SEX
April 20th - May 20th
Taurus is one alluring package, thanks in part to their love of beautiful things. Those lucky enough to snare this lover will find that the best, amazingly, has been hidden from view! In private, the Bull is an intense partner, and one quite happy to have sensual encounters go on all night long. The Energizer Bunny of the Zodiac has arrived! These days and nights of play should be punctuated with conversation, fantasies, seduction, even a few edible treats, the better to create the perfect mood. Sex as a release from the more practical aspects of life is often all the Bull wants. If this play date can be scheduled for Taurus's beloved home, all the better, since comfort is always on the Bull's mind.

THE LAST PSALM

Am I am prisoner to this axis
Forever chained to this fleshly void
The wings of treason flutter past
Blowing leaves of failure around my feet

I sing songs of peace, but no sound
I paint pictures of love, but no color
Empty, am I, without love, peace
These promised virtues seem still so distant

But you are my virtue
You alone fill the chasms carved in my soul
My fortress is You, O Lord
In your embrace I find warmth and shelter

Scarred am I, but you fade them
Wounded am I, but you mend
Your roots run deeper than I ever expected
Drawing water to refresh my weary limbs

A flawed design for I am half
Completed, only by the death of it
Fill me up to overflowing
That my excess would fill those around me

At the time of my passing
Whether I am to flicker out or be snuffed
Let it be whispered among my brothers and sisters
That I fought a righteous fight

Would that those whispers scream Your glory
And quiet my Ethos
May my life be a testimony to your grace
A grace that transforms the most reprobate of derelicts

But until that fateful day
I will be transparent that you might shine through
Break me, then build me
Complete me, I pray Thee. Amen.

OK Guys... just in case you haven't seen it yet, Rachel Aydt posted on my tag-board and it told her she was "too wordy". "When he sinned, he confessed it to God with these words: 'I can do nothing better without You. Please keep me from falling and correct the mistakes I make.' After that, he did not feel guilty about the sin." an excerpt from "The Practice of the Presence of God" by Brother Lawrence. Written 300 years ago, this book and its contents are still an excellent source of information on how to live a spiritually-driven lifestyle.
